Work With Me

Counseling or Coaching?

Which one is right for you?

Counseling is like archaeology. It is therapeutic in nature. We dig through the past, its hurts, situations, traumas, and the negative belief patterns that evolved from that. We process how the past has and is affecting you in your present. Through evidence-based practices, we treat and resolve the mental health issues that are keeping you stuck.

Coaching is more like architecture. It starts from a foundation and builds upward through client-identified goals. It is solution-focused, collaborative, and less structured than counseling.

Counseling takes a deeper look back and moves forward to the present.

Coaching is focused on the present and future, though we can glance back.

Who do you work with?

Counseling

I counsel ages 10 and up. Tween and teen, young adults, and adults.

While I specialize in anxiety, ADHD, and trauma, I also treat general issues such as depression, life transitions, grief, school-related issues. I am very functional in my approach which aims at getting to the root of the issue whether it be spiritual, mental, or biological.

Coaching

I coach 18 and over. Areas of coaching include but are not limited to: spiritual formation and women’s issues, adulting, and life issues causing minor anxiety.

Once out of college a person’s world can get very stressful and daunting, and some young people have a difficult time leaving the nest. I help young adults transition into the adulting phase of life through equipping them with the confidence and personal beliefs necessary to launch into their next season.

Another area of coaching that is close to my heart, is that of spiritual formation and women’s issues. Helping women flourish in every season of life and find their purpose again is very fulfilling.
